A look at the life and work of novelist and scriptwriter Ruth Prawer Jhabvala.

"Evacuated from Nazi Germany as a child of Polish-Jewish parents, she was educated in England. Marriage took her to India which has provided the setting for many of her stories and novels. She writes as an insider, although her background has made her a permanent exile.
